About the founder: Göker Avcı
Göker Avcı is an international climate entrepreneur with companies based in San Francisco and Turkey. As an expert in Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR), carbon markets, and decarbonization, he is actively involved in international collaborations with engineered carbon removal projects across diverse regions. His membership in various global carbon business councils further underscores his commitment to advancing carbon reduction strategies worldwide.
With extensive consulting experience and deep ties to environmental and impact organizations, Göker’s career is rooted in practical and scalable sustainability solutions. He played a pioneering role in creating the country’s first vegan and environmentally-friendly cleaning product line and led the development of the world’s first inclusive cleaning project, which has since been replicated by international corporations globally.
In addition to his expertise in CDR and carbon markets, Göker holds a global accreditation as a TRUE Zero-Waste Advisor and brings a wealth of experience in zero-waste and social impact initiatives. His work spans collaborations with international organizations to implement meaningful environmental solutions.
Currently, Göker’s focus is on securing innovative funding pathways for early-stage CDR projects, leveraging his background in economics and finance to bridge the gap between capital and impactful climate solutions. His vision is to drive the global response to the climate crisis by fostering interdisciplinary partnerships, ensuring that theoretical research translates into effective, on-the-ground solutions.
